To show months, you must select either 4 Weeks or Calendar Month.

If you want to change the start date for the interval, click the date in the “Grid line at” field and use the arrows that appear to display a new date.

Click OK.

The timeline interval affects the size and readability of the Task Timeline, Resource Timeline, Cash Flow Table, and Resource Histogram. The interval is preset to weeks, but you can change it and specify a starting date from which it will be calculated.
